About Marion Leishman
Marion is an Integrative Therapist, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is experienced at working with young people and adults.
Marion offers a warm, empathic and non-judgemental approach. Her
ability to build authentic, trusting relationships, is key to creating a safe therapeutic environment to support her clients.
Marion Leishman's Experience
Marion combines different therapeutic approaches, such as person centred, transactional analysis and CBT/DBT. She is experienced at working with clients who are feeling low in mood, anxious or experiencing other mental health conditions. She works with individuals who may be impacted by significant/traumatic life events and changes, such as relationship difficulties, disability, abuse, loss and bereavement.
Alongside her work at Home Counties Therapies, Marion works as a therapeutic counsellor at a secondary school, and for an organisation offering therapeutic and practical support for neurodivergent families. Prior to becoming a counsellor Marion worked as an Occupational Therapist for people living with neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions, physical and mental health difficulties, and eating disorders, complimenting her inclusive and diverse therapeutic approach.
