Anxiety is a natural response to stress, and everyone will experience the feeling at some point in their life. For some these feelings are normal and manageable but for others anxiety can be become overwhelming and uncontrollable and can start to negatively affect daily life. Anxiety can happen in episodes or be a long-term condition to manage.
Anxiety can be triggered by a big event, or a build up of stressful situations in life and it has also been recognised that some people are more likely to have anxiety disorders based on genetic factors or other events such as past trauma.

These are the common symptoms we see in people suffering from anxiety
- Feeling worried or restless
- Episodes of panic and fear
- Difficulty sleeping
- Stomach aches or feeling unwell
- Feeling dizzy
- Sweating
- Heart palpitations or panic attacks
- Urges to avoid situations that trigger anxiety
